Zou is a show on the Sprout channel and Time Warner Cable Kids. It is about zebras!
Premise[]
Zou is based on a young zebra named Bizou, whose nickname is Zou, Poc the parakeet and his family. Most episodes contain Zou's name in the title, with the exception of "A Halloween Hunt," "Elzee's Fashion Show," "Pirates and Fairies," "Goldie the Sunflower," "The Big Race," and "The Very Windy Day."
The episodes usually take place at Zou's house or in his backyard. Zou lives with his mother, father, grandparents, great-grandmother and sidekick, Poc. His family is always there for him whenever there's a problem, whether it's an issue with his friends and other family members or just that he needs a fun, new game to play.
Every episode, even the main title sequence, ends with the characters laughing and a white background with a small circle-shaped highlight of one of the main characters or plot points in the episode.
Characters[]
Zou- The main protagonist of the show. He is curious and is very interested in the world around him. Zou lives with his mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, and nana, as well as his pet bird and sidekick, Poc.
Poc- Zou's pet bird and trusty sidekick who is a green parakeet. He always accompanies Zou and rests in Zou's cuckoo clock.
Mom- Duh. Zou's mom.
Dad- Double duh. Zou's dad.
Grandma- OH GOD. Zou's grandma who loves to bake treats for the family. Her specialty is chocolate chip cookies.
Grandpa- JUST READ HIS FRIDAYING NAME! Zou's grandpa who is quite the handyzebra, usually found in the shed, building something. He often accompanies Zou on his adventures.
Elzee- Zou's next door neighbor who is also Zou's best friend. She often accompanies Zou on his adventures. While she likes a lot of the same things that Zou likes, she also likes girly things as well.
Zinnia- The main antagonist of the show. She is Zou's bossy cousin who was named after a flower. She loves to dance ballet and is often seen in exercise wear.
Zak- Zou's friend whose father is Mr. Zoey.
Mr. Zoey- The shopkeeper in the place where these zebras live.
